The Seoul Museum of Art gathers, preserves and manages all personal information based on consent to all related laws and bodies of information. In the ¡°Law on Personal Information Protection by Public Organs¡± and ¡°Law on Information Communications Network Promotion, Information Protection, et al¡± are shown general standards on the treatment of personal information, and the Seoul Museum of Art deals with these legal stipulations in its gathering, preservation and management of personal information, carrying it out in an an appropriate and legal manner as a public work and to protect the interests of the people.

Also, according to the related stipulations in the law the Seoul Museum of Art respects the interests of you, the public, in the right to request viewing or revision of personal information, and the public has the right to request that legal action be taken according to administrative judicial law in the case of legal violation of these interests. The privacy policy of the Seoul Museum of Art may change according to changes of the law or policies of the government or changes in the service policies of the museum. Please be sure to confirm this at all times when visiting our home page.

1. Collection of Private Information and Purpose of Use
The purpose of the gathering of personal information on the Seoul Museum of Art's home page is in order to provide sound and appropriate service, and for a more convenient experience we are able to provide selective service based on the personal information provided by the public. The Guggenheim does not systematically collect or record names, addresses, phone numbers, gender identity or other personally identifying data (the "Personal Data") from visitors to the Site, unless such data is voluntarily submitted by visitors for the purposes outlined below.

2. Items of Personal Information Collected and Method of Collection
In order to provide service at the Seoul Museum of Art we collect only the most necessary personal information. The information gathered includes a person's name, ID, password, sex, date of birth, resident registration number, employment, home address as well as company address, phone number, and any other items deemed to be necessary in the interests of the public in providing service from the Seoul Museum of Art.
Information entered by the public is not used in any way other than to provide service or for goals indicated previously by the individual user.

3. Retention and Annulment of Personal Information
Personal information from the public using the services of the Seoul Museum of Art is kept continuously at the Seoul Museum of Art to be used in service. However, in accordance with the explanation on ¡°viewing, editing and deletion of the seven items¡± when an ID is deleted or when a termination of application for membership has been requested and when the goal of provision of personal information is achieved as outlined before, due to the fact that personal information gathered cannot be restored it will have been erased completely from the hard disk, and will be unable to be viewed or used by any method.

4. Providing and Sharing of Personal Information
As a rule, the Seoul Museum of Art does not publicize personal information from the public to others or to other businesses or organs. However, it may be provided in accordance with Article 10 Item 2 of the ¡°Law on Personal Information Protection by Public Organs¡±.

5. Use and Activity of Cookies
In order to provide a personalized service to the public the Seoul Museum of Art makes use of cookies to save and recall personal information at any time. A cookie is a small piece of data sent by the browser of a user used in the running of a website, and is saved on the hard disks of the user.
Through the granting of specific cookies to the browser of the user while connected to the website of the Seoul Museum of Art, they can be used to ascertain the frequency of use, scope of use and other aspects.
Through the use of cookies the visiting conditions and use can be ascertained and be used to provide a more useful and convenient service.

6. Technological and Managerial Measures for Personal Information Protection
The information of the users is protected by their passwords. The password of an account is known only by the user, and the confirmation and changing of personal information is only possible to the user who knows the password. Therefore, do not let your password be known to anyone. It is also best to log out and close your browser after use. These procedures are especially necessary to prevent one's private information becoming known to others where computers are shared by others or in a public location.
In order to prevent the private information of the public from being leaked through hacking or other means we make use of measures to prevent outside intrusion such as attacks, hacking and others, and with this trespass detection system it is monitored 24 hours a day. In providing for the possibility of damage of one's personal information we have the system and its data backed up in case something should happen.

7. Viewing, Changing and Deleting One's Personal Information
Users may view or change the information they have recorded at any time, and may also delete their ID. Viewing, changing and deleting one's personal information may be done by going to New User Registration > Personal Information Management. If you have any dissatisfaction or opinions regarding personal information you may send it to the administrator through email ( rjs0925@seoul.go.kr ) after which we will take measures and send the results of how it was dealt with.

8. Personal Information Protection of Children
Article 31 of the ¡°Law on Information Communications Network Promotion, Information Protection, et al¡° states that the assent of the legal guardian of the child is necessary in gathering, using and providing personal information, and in this case the signature and other necessary information from the guardian may be requested.
The service provided by the Seoul Museum of Art does not include the sharing of information of children under 14 with other people or businesses, and advertisements through email are not sent to those under 14.

9. Password Preservation
The responsibility for keeping the password from one's account preserved lies with the user. the Seoul Museum of Art will never ask for a user's password through email or other method, so do not let your password be known in any case. Please take special care that your personal information is not leaked to others nearby when you are logged on.
